Conveyor systems experts KP Industries are sitting pretty after securing a deal with a luxury car maker.
The Rochdale-based manufacturer has completed a project which saw them providing a British-made vehicle giant with systems for a new model.
The six-figure contract saw KPI installing two separate conveyor systems which would give their customer flexibility and allow them to produce the covers to fit the demands of the business.
The two conveyors were 40 metres in length, using software developed by KPI engineers, which allowed the company highlight inconsistencies in the process and alert line personnel to the issue.
Phil Cornell, managing director at KPI, said: “As with all projects, there were a number of logistical issues but our expertise in the car industry allowed us to use our skills to benefit the customer.
“This project took the business to a new level within the industry and opened our eyes to what could be achieved and to have Bentley as a partner is a great coup for the company.”
KP Industries are experts in designing and building bespoke conveyor systems for various manufacturing companies and have worked with companies including Leyland Motors, JCB, Jaguar and Balmoral and many others over the past decade.
